Malaika Arora, who is dating Arjun Kapoor, says it is important for women to have a life after divorce. The actress was earlier married to Arbaaz Khan.
Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor have shattered all age-related stereotypes when it comes to women dating younger men. Time and again, the couple has opened up about it and shunned trolls. Recently, Malaika shared why it is important for women to have a life after a breakup or divorce.
Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor are considered the ‘IT’ couple of tinsel town. Prior to dating Arjun, Malaika was married to Arbaaz Khan for 18 years. Post-divorce in 2017, Malaika and Arbaaz have been mending their own ways, however, they continue to co-parent their son, Arhaan Khan.
Coming back to Malaika (48) and Arjun (36), the two share an age gap of 12 years. Bollywood’s Chaiyya Chaiyya girl shared that women dating men younger than them aren’t taken too well. Speaking to Hello Magazine, Malaika shared, “There’s a misogynist approach to female relationships. It’s often considered a sacrilege for a woman to date a younger man.” She also added that it is “very important for women to have a life after a breakup or a divorce.”
On Social Media Star, Arjun Kapoor spoke about being trolled for his age gap with Malaika Arora. "People have opinions because they love having opinions. In India, we love gossiping. We all want to discuss ‘When will they get married? They don’t look good together. You think this is going to last? What does she see in him? Look at the way he is looking. Career will be ruined. This is said for the sake of saying. All it takes is one Friday or one interview where you explain yourself, all it takes is that much time for people’s perception to keep changing about you,” said the Bhoot Police actor.
