The grim Covid-19 situation in Kerala shows no signs of abating with the state reporting 32,801 fresh Covid-19 infections on Friday, its highest daily rise in nearly three months.
On August 1, Kerala reported more than 20,000 new Covid-19 cases. Among the infected ones, nearly 2,400 people needed hospitalisation. Twenty-five days later, on August 25, the southern state, under fire for not being able to contain the spread of Coronavirus, reported a big surge with more than 31,000 new cases.
