Majority Indian nationals brought back from Afghanistan, situation being carefully monitored: MEA

Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi informed in a press conference that a majority of Indian nationals have been brought back to Indian from Afghanistan and added that the situation is being carefully monitored.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said a majority of Indian nationals who wished to return from Afghanistan have been brought back to India. The ministry, while condemning the deadly suicide bombings outside Kabul airport on Thursday, said that it is carefully monitoring the situation in the neighbouring country. Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said India's focus has been to evacuate its citizens who are stranded in Afghanistan, adding that the last evacuation flight had only about 40 people.
