Mahesh Babu's father, Krishna, celebrates his birthday on May 31. Every year on May 31, Mahesh Babu makes it a point to treat his fans to a special update on his forthcoming film. This time around, Mahesh Babu could be dropping the first-look poster of his upcoming film, SSMB 28, which is directed by Trivikram.

Mahesh Babu and Trivikram are collaborating on SSMB 28. The first-look poster of the film could be out on May 31 on the occasion of Krishna's birthday. An official announcement on this is yet to be made but Mahesh's fans are hopeful that Mahesh will drop the poster on May 31. It is heard that team SSMB 28 has started working on the poster already.

SSMB 28 is one of the most anticipated projects in Telugu cinema as it marks the third collaboration between Mahesh and Trivikram after Athadu and Khaleja.

As confirmed by Mahesh Babu recently, SSMB 28 shoot will begin in June. The film will have Mahesh Babu and Pooja Hegde in lead roles. S Thaman is onboard to compose the music for the film. Haarika & Hassine Creations will produce the project.

Mahesh Babu jetted off to the USA for a family vacation on May 22. SSMB 28's shoot will start soon after Mahesh is back in Hyderabad. The pre-production work on the film is going on at a brisk pace now.

SSMB 28 is touted to be an action thriller. The film is likely to release in theatres in the first half of 2023.
