Directed by Puri Jagannadh, the film had massy dialogues, power-packed action sequences and an unexpected climax that left the audience impressed. On Wednesday, fans were trending #15YearsForPokiri on Twitter. Mahesh Babu’s wife Namrata Shirodkar shared a poster of the film, calling it a path-breaking film of its time. Namrata, actress and wife of Mahesh Babu took to Instagram to celebrate 15 years of Pokiri, a film that was remade in Hindi as Wanted by Prabhudeva starring Salman Khan. Pokiri was also remade in Tamil as Pokkiri with Vijay in the lead role.
