School reopening Maharashtra 2021: The Maharashtra government has decided to reopen schools for Classes 5 to 12 in rural and for Classes 8-12 in urban areas on August 17. School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad has shared a set of SOPs for safe return of students to their schools.
Maharashtra school reopening: The Maharashtra Government has decided to allow more students to visit schools for offline classes. School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad on Tuesday said students of Classes 5 to 12 will be allowed to attend classes in rural areas from August 17 and in urban areas Classes 8 to 12 students will be allowed to visit schools. Maharashtra schools will reopen in areas where the coronavirus cases are under control. The minister has also released a set of SOPs for students’ safe return to schools. Schools in areas where coronavirus cases are under control can restart physical classes for Std 5-12th in rural areas & 8-12th in urban areas from Aug 17.
