Maharashtra reports 55,411 fresh Covid-19 cases, 309 deaths in last 24 hours

Maharashtra continues to remain on edge as the state reported 55,411 new coronavirus positive cases and 309 fatalities on Saturday.

Maharashtra on Saturday reported 55,411 fresh coronavirus positive cases and 309 deaths. The fresh jump in cases has taken state's Covid-19 tally to 33,43,951 and the death toll to 57,638, according to the data by the state health department. On Saturday, 53,005 people were discharged from hospitals, taking the count of recoveries in Maharashtra so far to 27,48,153, the data said. There are now 5,36,682 active coronavirus cases in Maharashtra.
