Maharashtra rain fury: 8 Covid patients die at hospital in Ratnagiri’s Chiplun

A Ratnagiri health official said eight people died at a Covid hospital in Chiplun after water entered the premises. Chiplun is one of the worst-hit areas in Maharashtra which has been receiving incessant rains since last few days.
Eight Covid-19 patients died at a hospital in Chiplun town of Ratnagiri in Maharashtra on Thursday after floodwater entered the hospital. “Proper medical treatment could not be provided to Covid patients on the day of flooding. Almost 80 per cent of Chiplun is partially submerged in water,” Dr Phule, civil surgeon, Ratnagiri civil hospital told India Today.More Related News
