Maharashtra Police initiates probe against ex-Mumbai top cop Parambir Singh in extortion case

Complainant Sonu Jalan has been asked to appear before the CID to record his statement in connection with an extortion case against former Mumbai top cop Parambir Singh.

The Maharashtra Police has initiated its probe into the allegations of extortion levelled by businessmen against former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh. The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Tuesday asked complainant Sonu Jalan to appear before the probe body to record his statement. “I have been asked to appear before the CID on Wednesday to record my statement,” Sonu Jalan told India Today.
