Maharashtra govt to move SC against CBI probe into Anil Deshmukh corruption charges

The Maharashtra government will move the Supreme Court against the Bombay HC order on a CBI probe into the corruption charges levelled by former Mumbai police commissioner Param Bir Singh against Anil Deshmukh.
The Maharashtra government will be knocking on the doors of the Supreme Court against the Bombay High Court order in the Anil Deshmukh case. On Monday, the Bombay High Court directed the CBI to conduct a preliminary inquiry within 15 days into allegations of corruption and misconduct levelled by former Mumbai police commissioner Param Bir Singh against Anil Deshmukh. Senior advocate and Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi will represent the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Supreme Court.More Related News
