Maharashtra crisis: Governor working with BJP; order to conduct floor test illegal, says Sanjay

Shiv Sena leader from the Uddhav Thackeray camp Sanjay Raut said that Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari is working with the BJP and that his order to conduct a floor test is illegal.
As the Maharashtra political crisis rages on, Shiv Sena MP from the Udhhav Thackeray camp Sanjay Raut said that the Governor calling for a floor test is illegal.
He said: “This is illegal. A case regarding the disqualification of 16 rebel MLAs is still pending before the Supreme Court. How can a floor test be conducted in such a situation?”

“For the last 2 years, our files have been pending with Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari. He did not make a move on those. But in this case, he moved with a speed faster than Rafale jets,” he said.
He accused the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Governor of “playing with the Constitution of India”.
“We will approach the SC and seek justice. The MLAs are on a tourism spree. Let them go to Goa. Things will be decided after they come to Mumbai,” he said.
