Maharashtra: CBI arrests senior statistical officer in bribery case

The Central Bureau of Investigation arrested the officer after receiving a complaint of bribery against him.
The Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) has arrested a Senior Statistical Officer (Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation), from Navi Mumbai in Maharashtra in a bribery case, officials said. A case was registered against Deepak Kumar, Senior Statistical Officer on the allegations that he demanded Rs 10,000 as a bribe from the complainant for submission and closure of the final Annual Survey of Industries (ASI) return for his company.More Related News
