Mahabharat actor Rohit Bhardwaj and wife head for divorce after 16 years of marriage

Mahabharat actor Rohit Bhardwaj and his wife Poonam Bhardwaj have been living separately for the last four years. The actor revealed that he hasn't met his daughter in the last two years.
Rohit Bhardwaj, who played Yudhishthira in Mahabharat, and his wife, Poonam Bhardwaj, are headed for a divorce. They had been married for 16 years but things hadn't been well between them for quite some time now. However, their relationship got worse after he returned from Indonesia. Rohit was in Indonesia for around one-and-a-half years and returned in 2017.
Speaking about his separation with ETimes, Rohit Bhardwaj said, “I am staying alone for the last four-five years. There were differences from the beginning, which kept escalating, especially after I returned from Indonesia. I tried to sort things out with my wife, but couldn’t save the marriage. It was marred by differences of opinion and compatibility issues. The divorce is in the process and should be through in two months."
The actor is still mourning his mother's loss, who passed away last year after suffering a heart attack. Rohit has been shuffling between Delhi and Mumbai. While works keeps him Mumbai, he keeps visiting his father in Delhi who is stays there alone.
Rohit and Poonam have 10-year-old daughter. The actor hasn't seen his daughter in two years, who lives with her mother in Delhi. "I haven’t seen my daughter in two years. Maa chali gayi, aur daughter door ho gayi. I was going through emotional turmoil and went into a shell," he added.
