
Madras HC says bumper to bumper insurance coverage mandatory for all vehicles sold after Sept 1

The case was in reference to the death of a man in a vehicle accident. The motor accident tribunal had in 2019 directed the insurance company to pay Rs 14.65 lakh as compensation to the family of the deceased.
All vehicles sold after September 1, should have bumper-to-bumper insurance cover for five years mandatorily, says Madras high court in its order today. Justice S Vaidyanathan passed an order while hearing a writ petition from the New India Assurance Company Limited, challenging the orders of the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, Special District Court given on December 7, 2019 in Erode.More Related News
