Mobile phone addiction turned tragic after a 14-year-old boy in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur district allegedly died by suicide after his father failed to recharge his mobile phone data pack.
A 14-year-old boy allegedly died by suicide after his father failed to recharge his mobile phone data pack in Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh. The boy was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his house on Monday.
Probe revealed that the boy was addicted to his mobile phone and was insisting his father on recharging his mobile phone after his data pack expired. It was when his father did not listen to him, that the boy took the extreme step of ending his life.
Probe revealed that the teenager ended his life when his father failed to recharge his mobile phone data pack despite his constant demand.
According to the police, the deceased's father, who worked as a labourer, to support his family was facing financial problems, which is why he was unable to recharge his son's mobile phone data pack.
Meanwhile, Gorakhpur Police is further investigating the matter.
