Lucknow: 28-year-old handling UP govt's social media messaged friends before suicide

Parth Srivastava, the 28-year-old who was an employee of the firm that handles UP government's social media accounts, messaged his friends on the day he died allegedly by suicide.
Lucknow Police has come across new evidence in the case involving the alleged suicide of Parth Srivastava. Parth (28) was an employee of BECIL (Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Limited), a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. BECIL handles the Uttar Pradesh government's social media handles. News agency PTI quoted a senior official of the UP government as saying that BECIL handles social media work for the state government and it was the firm's call to decide on Parth Srivastava's postings. On May 20, Parth Srivastava was found hanging from a ceiling fan at his Indira Nagar residence in Lucknow. He allegedly left behind a suicide note in which he accused two of his senior colleagues of cheating and harassing him.More Related News
