Raj Thackeray, broke away from the Shiv Sena in 2005 when he was denied the baton to lead the party after Bala Saheb Thackeray. Raj, son of Balasaheb's brother Shrikant Thackeray, has been at loggerheads with his cousin since then.
However, unlike Eknath Shinde, who led a successful rebellion against Uddhav and is set to become the Deputy CM, Raj Thackeray, with his hardline Hindutva stance and fiery speeches, couldn't make it as big as Uddhav or Shinde.
