LPL 2021: 2nd edition of Lanka Premier League to be played from July 30 to August 22

Lanka Premier League: The second edition of LPL will be played between July 30 and August 22 in bio-secure environment in Sri Lanka, the country's cricket board said in a statement on Tuesday.

The second edition of Lanka Premier League (LPL) will be played from July 30 to August 22, the Sri Lanka Cricket Board said on Tuesday. The tournament, which features 5 teams, will be played under bio-secure environment based on the directives of the Health Ministry in the country. "SLC wishes to reiterate that the second edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) will be held during July and August 2021, as earlier announced. Accordingly, the tournament will be held from 30th July to 22nd August 2021," Sri Lanka Cricket said in a statement. "The 2020 edition was held under a successful bio-bubble environment. Health protocols for the 2nd edition of the LPL will be planned based on the directions of the Ministry of Health."
