Low intensity blast rocks Shillong's Police Bazar area

A blast occurred in Police Bazar area of Shillong city in Meghalaya on Sunday evening. No casualties have been reported.
A low-intensity blast occurred in the busy Police Bazar area of Shillong city in Meghalaya on Sunday evening at around 6.15 pm. The area has been cordoned off by security forces.
No casualties have been reported, the police said. However, the front portions of a mobile phone store and wine shop have been damaged.
A senior police officer was quoted by PTI as saying that the blast is suspected to have been caused by an improvised explosive device (IED).
Bomb squad personnel have reached the spot and the matter is being investigated.
