Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh said he loved the wicket of David Miller after winning the man of the match award in India's win over South Africa. Arshdeep picked up three wickets to guide India to an 8-wicket victory in Thiruvananthapuram.
Speaking after the match, Arshdeep said he got a lot of help from the surface, while also thanking fellow pacer Deepak Chahar for setting the tone.
"I had been thinking about the Man of the Match speech and was excited. There was a lot of help from the surface, and DC (Deepak Chahar) bhai set the tone and I just wanted to execute the plans," said Arshdeep.
The left-arm pacer said he loved the dismissal of David Miller, with a brilliant in-swinger that left the South African baffled.
"Loved the wicket of David Miller, he was expecting the outswinger, but I got that to swing in. So that was great," Arshdeep added.
Finally, the 23-year-old said Keshav Maharaj batted well at the end of the innings but was happy that India got the result they wanted.
" We wanted to take his [Keshav Maharaj] wicket, but he batted well. We could have had a different plan but we won the match, and that's what matters. I have trained hard at the NCA, and want to perform well going forward," said Arshdeep.
