Russia and Ukraine are at war. In the midst of this, Sergei Novikov, a Russian national, wed his Ukrainian girlfriend Elona Bramoka in a traditional Hindu ceremony in Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh.
They say love knows no bounds. Proving this maxim true are a Russian man and Ukrainian woman who, heedless of the deadly war between their two nations, married each other on neutral ground -- in India.
Sergei Novikov, a Russian national, tied the knot with his Ukrainian girlfriend Elona Bramoka in a traditional Hindu ceremony in Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh, on August 2.
The cross-border couple pulled out all the stops for their wedding and did everything according to Hindu rituals. A video of the happy occasion shared by news agency ANI shows Elona wearing a red and gold lehenga, while Sergei is dressed in a maroon kurta-pyjama and Nehru jacket.
