Louis Tomlinson took to Twitter to announce that he has cancelled his upcoming shows in Russia and Ukraine amid the ‘needless war’.
Singer and songwriter Louis Tomlinson has cancelled his upcoming tour shows in Russia and Ukraine after the Putin-led invasion of Ukraine. The former member of the popular band One Direction took to social media to announce the same.
“Due to the recent events in Ukraine, I have to sadly announce that my tour shows in Moscow and Kyiv are cancelled until further notice,” he said in a statement shared on Twitter.
He also said that the safety of his fans was his priority and called the ongoing conflict a ‘needless war’.
“The safety of my fans is my priority and my thoughts go out to the people of Ukraine and all those suffering from this needless war,” he added.

The Defenceless singer was set to perform in Kyiv, Ukraine on July 4 and in Moscow, Russia on July 6. He started his Louis Tomlinson World Tour on February 1. He is expected to tour the US during March and then head to Europe in April, followed by Latin America.
