BJP State president Nainar Nagenthran discusses strong AIADMK-BJP alliance and warns cadre about social media comments.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State president Nainar Nagenthran on Saturday said the lotus (BJP’s symbol) would bloom on top of the two leaves (AIADMK’s symbol).
Addressing BJP functionaries after a rally here, Mr. Nagenthran, explaining the AIADMK-BJP alliance, said it was a strong and formidable mega-alliance. “Some claim this alliance is opportunistic, but the DMK alliance is the opportunistic one. The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is honest,” he said.
While commenting on social media, the BJP cadre should be careful, as the police are under the control of the DMK, and they would take immediately action against the cadre if anyone posted anything. “So, be cautious on social media and cadre’s comments should not hurt the alliance,” Mr. Nagenthran told them.
Union Minister Amit Shah and AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami will decide on seat allocation, and the cadre must follow the instructions of the party high command, the BJP State president said.
Criticising Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, Mr. Nagenthran said that without speaking a word or taking any steps for State autonomy while the DMK was part of the Union government for 18 years, the party was diverting the people’s attention by passing resolutions in the State Assembly.
