London firefighters rescue family dog in house fire

Firefighters rescued a family dog from a house fire on Tennyson Street in southeast London Tuesday night.
Parker is now conscious and alert after crews provided him with oxygen and monitored him at the scene.
The dog was rushed to an after-hours clinic for treatment.
Firefighters quickly contained the house fire at 35 Tennyson St. just south of Hamilton Road. The occupants of the home got out safely.
By midnight Tuesday, the fire was knocked down and the house was in the process of being ventilated, the London Fire Department reported.
There were no other injuries.
