The Bihar government headed by CM Nitish Kumar on Tuesday announced lockdown in the state till May 15 over the deteriorating Covid-19 situation. Nitish Kumar said in a tweet on Tuesday that the decision to impose a lockdown in Bihar was taken after consultations with officers and concerned authorities and a detailed guideline over the restrictions will be announced soon. Bihar's Covid-19 case tally has crossed the 5-lakh mark on Tuesday while the state now has over 1 lakh active cases.
