It is not every day that you watch a video from the bomb shelters in Ukraine and it manages to make you smile and at the same time breaks your heart. Little Amelia Anisovych’s video from one of the bomb shelters in Ukraine in which she had taken refuge with her family after the Russian invasion had gone viral. The reason, you ask? Well, it was all because of her inexplicable singing talent. The video featured her singing Disney’s Frozen song Let It Go and it received worldwide attention.
Amelia has now escaped to Poland with her grandmother and brother and she got an opportunity to sing the Ukrainian national anthem in front of thousands of people attending a benefit concert in the host country. Wearing a white, embroidered folk dress, the seven-year-old sang the national anthem. She smiled and bowed down to the audience after her performance.
Jon Cooper, a prominent Barack Obama fundraiser and former National Finance Chair of Draft Biden 2016, shared a video of Amelia performing at the concert on Twitter. “The young Ukrainian girl who went viral for singing Let It Go in a Kyiv bomb shelter performed live on stage at a #TogetherWithUkraine charity concert in Poland, where she now lives with her grandmother and siblings after fleeing Ukraine,” he captioned the video. It has garnered over 3 million views.
