Dr. Tahera Qutbuddin, the first Indian chosen for the prestigious Sheikh Zayed Book Award, spoke to India Today on her Mumbai memories, Arabic literature and India-Arab relations.
Dr. Tahera Qutbuddin, a Mumbaikar by birth and a professor settled in US, became the first Indian on April 24 to be chosen for the prestigious the Sheikh Zayed Book Award, touted as Arabic world’s Nobel Prize for her book ‘Arabic Oration: Art and Function’. The Abu Dhabi Department of Cultural announces the award annually to people with exemplary work in the field of Arabic literature. It is aimed at showcasing the most powerful, stimulating and challenging works representing the Arab world.More Related News
