With liquor shops closed in Kerala following a stringent lockdown, liquor bottles are being smuggled from the neighbouring state of Karnataka. On Tuesday, 97 bottles of alcohol were seized from Kollam railway station. The excise department has held an army officer and IT professional in connection with the case. As part of a routine search, 60 bottles were seized from a passenger travelling on the Bengaluru-Kanyakumar Express. The passenger was identified as 28-year-old Amal, an army officer, working in Bengaluru.More Related News
