Lionel Messi returns to Paris after testing negative for Covid-19

Paris St Germain forward Lionel Messi has returned to Paris after testing negative for COVID-19 and will resume training in the coming days, the French Ligue 1 club said.

Lionel Messi returned to France from Argentina after testing negative for coronavirus and will rejoin the Paris Saint-Germain squad in training in the next few days. Messi was among the four PSG players who returned positive results on Sunday.

Messi had spent the Christmas break back home in Argentina with his family, only for his return to France to be delayed by a positive PCR test shortly after the dawn of the New Year.
