A massive crowd trouble erupted during a Ligue 1 clash between Nice and Olympique Marseille on Sunday with fans pelting missiles at Marseille players and storming onto the pitch to disrupt the game. The league match was abandoned in the 75th minute after Marseille players refused to take the field following crowd trouble. Nice supporters threw water bottles as Marseille were about to take a corner and, after visiting forward Dimitri Payet hurled one back at them, a full-scale brawl ensued when some of the fans rushed onto the field.
