Within a week, the film has crashed at the box office and is struggling to rake in Rs 1 crore in multiple languages across India. Liger was unanimously panned by critics and audience alike. Despite having a decent opening, the film drowned because of negative word of mouth.
Director Puri Jagannadh's Liger graced the theatres on August 25 in several languages. This was Vijay Deverakonda's first pan-India film.
On its seventh day, Liger has collapsed at the box office. According to trade reports, the film managed to collect Rs 90 lakh throughout India. This indicates that Liger is a huge failure and is likely to be pulled out from the theatres in the coming days.
Written and directed by Puri Jagannadh, Liger is a sports action entertainer. Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday played roles, while Mike Tyson essayed an extended cameo. The film, which was made on a huge budget of Rs 90 crore, ended up as a loss venture for the producers and the distributors associated with the film. Liger is jointly bankrolled by Puri Jagannadh, Charmme Kaur and Karan Johar.
