Liger box office collection Day 11: Vijay Deverakonda's film hits rock-bottom
India Today
Vijay Deverakonda's Liger turned out to be one of the biggest disasters in 2022. The film collapsed at the box office from Day 1.
Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday's Liger turned out to be one of the biggest disappointments at the box office. The film opened to negative reviews and since then there has been no looking back. Liger is probably in the last week of its theatrical run before Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's Brahmastra takes over the cinemas on September 9 in multiple languages.
Liger, directed by Puri Jagannadh, hit the theatres on August 25 in multiple languages. The film was promoted as a pan-India flick, but ended up as a failure across the globe.
On its eleventh day at the box office, the Hindi version of Liger hardly made Rs 40 lakh at the box office, thereby taking the total collection to Rs 19 crore. The other versions of Liger have been performing poorly for the past 10 days and there has been no redemption during the weekends as well.
According to reports, Liger collected Rs 86 lakh on its 11th day in the country. It has been several days since Liger touched Rs 1-crore mark in India.

Since Liger flopped at the box office, director-producer Puri Jagannadh, co-producer Charmme Kaur and Vijay Deverakonda have been at the receiving end of trolling. On September 4, Charmme announced a social media break after the film's failure.
She wrote, "Chill guys! Just taking a break ( from social media )@PuriConnects will bounce back Bigger and Better... until then, Live and let Live (sic)."
