The leopard was safely rescued in the end, but netizens were divided regarding the procedure of the operation. The incident took place in Panipat, Haryana.
A shocking video of a leopard escaping and attacking some forest officials and policemen has gone viral on the internet. Shared on Twitter by Panipat Superintendent of Police, Shashank Kumar Sawan, the video shows the scared leopard attacking the policemen around it.
The video shows a snippet of the rescue of the big cat. Throughout the clip, the animal tries to claw the forest officials and policemen trying to approach it. Thankfully, the rescue operation was successful and no one was gravely injured. “Tough day at work for people from the police and forest dept. A couple of them suffered injuries. Salute to their bravery and courage. In the end, everyone is safe. Including the leopard,” Sawan wrote in the caption.

The clip has gone viral with over 115k views and tons of reactions. In a post shared by the Panipat Police, a police inspector identified as Jagdeep also showed indomitable courage while controlling the leopard.
Netizens were shocked to see the scene and praised the people involved in the rescue. Some, however, pointed out that the police and officials shouldn't have approached the leopard without any proper equipment or protection.
