Law wapasi but no ghar wapasi yet: How protesting farmers may be testing Modi govt

Now, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced 'law wapasi' through a bill in the upcoming Winter Session of Parliament. But, the protesting farmers have apparently shifted their goalposts. No ghar wapasi yet, the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM), the umbrella body of the farmers’ unions has said.
During the eighth round of talks with the central government in early January, protesting farmers had rejected an appeal to vacate their protest site at the Delhi borders with a catchphrase. The representatives of the farmers’ unions told the government that their “ghar wapasi” (vacating the protest sites) would happen only after “law wapasi” (repeal of laws).
