Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar passed away on February 6 at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. She received treatment for almost a month for Covid-19 and age-related complications. The Nightingale of India's name first appeared on a film's poster in 1943 when she was just 13 years old.
Lata Mangeshkar made her acting debut in 1943 with the Marathi film, Pahili Mangalgour. An old poster of the film is now being shared on Twitter which features the singer's name. It is being said that it was the first time when a 13-year-old's name appeared on a film's poster. This was the same year her father, Deenanath Mangeshkar, passed away following an illness. Lata acted in around eight films.
Sharing the poster of Pahili Manglagour, a Twitter user wrote, "March 6, 1943 The very first time, the name of 13 year old girl appeared on a Film Poster.. No one knew then, that it would be written on The Sky forever.. #Destiny #LataMangeshkar (sic)."
