Lalu Prasad out of jail after completion of bail formalities; to stay in AIIMS Delhi for treatment

RJD president Lalu Prasad was released from jail on Thursday after completion of bail formalities in the Dumka Treasury case at Jharkhand's Ranchi. However, he will stay in AIIMS Delhi for some more time for treatment of his ailments.
RJD president Lalu Prasad walked out of the jail on Thursday after completion of bail formalities in the Dumka Treasury case at a special CBI court in Jharkhand's Ranchi. Lalu Prasad's lawyers furnished two sureties of Rs 1 lakh each in a special CBI court in Ranchi during the day and also deposited Rs 5 lakh penalty amount each in two cases- under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections and Prevention of Corruption (PC) Act. Accordingly, the judge MK Mishra issued release order of the RJD supremo. Deboshri Mondal, Lalu Prasad's lawyer, informed the court that bail bond has been furnished in excess withdrawal of Rs 3.13 crore from Dumka Treasury. The Jharkhand High Court had granted bail to Lalu Prasad in the last pending case related to Dumka treasury on April 17.More Related News
