Detained on her way to violence-hit Lakhimpur Kheri, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra told India Today that she is being kept in detention by the UP Police without any legal basis.
Protests have erupted across the country over the violence in UP's Lakhimpur Kheri that claimed eight lives on Sunday. Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who was placed under house arrest in Lucknow but managed to travel to Lakhimpur Kheri in the early hours of Monday, has been detained by the UP Police.
