Flights of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder S Randhawa were denied permission to land in Lucknow on Monday.
Hours after Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was stopped from visiting Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh, where eight people, including four farmers, were killed in violence on Sunday, flights of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister and Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder S Randhawa were denied permission to land in Lucknow on Monday.
Taking to Twitter, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel wrote, "The government of Uttar Pradesh is issuing a decree not to allow me to come to the state. Have civil rights been suspended in Uttar Pradesh? If Section 144 is in Lakhimpur, then why is the dictatorial government stopping you from landing in Lucknow?"
