Kyle Schwarber is starting to prove last season was just a fluke.

In Thursday’s matchup against the Marlins, Schwarber opened the 7-3 win with a home run, his fifth lead-off homer over the past 12 games. He added to that performance when he sent a 0-2 pitch flying to dead center for a three-run home run just one inning later. In the last five games, Schwarber has blasted eight home runs. Going back further, he now has 13 homers in the past 12 games.
