Kunal Kemmu turns director! Actor to helm Excel film Madgaon Express

Kunal Kemmu is all set to make his directorial debut! The actor is the director and writer of his upcoming film with Excel, Madgaon Express.
From a child artiste to an actor, Kunal Kemmu has come a long way. Adding another feather to his cap, Kunal, on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, announced that he is all set to make his debut as a director. Produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's production banner Excel Entertainment, Kunal shared the title of his directorial debut film, Madgaon Express.
After working as an actor in the film industry for years, Kunal Kemmu is all set to take the director's seat. Taking to Instagram on Ganesh Chaturthi, the actor announced his new beginning. He wrote, "Ganpati Bappa Moriya! As all good things begin with his name I can’t think of a better day to share this with all of you. It started with a thought in my head, which grew into a dream which flowed out through my fingers into words on my laptop, and now it is becoming a reality (sic)." He revealed the name of the film, Madgaon Express.

Kunal Kemmu makes his directorial debut with Excel film, Madgaon Express. Previously, Farhan Akhtar had also made his debut as a director with Dil Chahta Hai in 2001. His sister, acclaimed filmmaker Zoya Akhtar also made her directorial debut with Luck By Chance in 2009. And now, Kunal is also commencing his directorial journey with the production house.
Excel Entertainment is co-founded by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. They have bankrolled blockbusters as ZNMD, Dil Chahta Hai, Don, Don 2 and many more. Currently, the production house is gearing up for Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif's Jee Le Zaraa.
