Kuldeep Yadav's brilliance with the ball handed India A the ODI series against New Zealand A on Sunday. Prithvi Shaw was also amongst the runs as he scored 77 off 48 deliveries in the second unofficial ODI.
Kuldeep Yadav's incredible hat-trick and a quick-fire half century from Prithvi Shaw helped India A secure a four-wicket win against New Zealand 'A' in the second unofficial ODI to clinch the three-match series here on Sunday.
Electing to bat, New Zealand 'A' were all out for 219 in 47 overs as the Chinaman bowler picked up the last four wickets, which also included the hat-trick.
The visiting team collapsed from 210 for 6 to 219 all out as Yadav made it a day to remember for himself. After getting rid of Sean Solia first, Yadav claimed the wickets of Logan Van Beek, Joe Walker and Jacob Duffy to complete a memorable hat-trick.
India 'A' chased down the target with 16 overs to spare to clinch the series as they reached 222 for 6 in 34 overs.
The hosts won the first match on Thursday by seven wickets. The third and last match will be played on Tuesday.
Rachin Ravindra and Joe Carter set the innings for the Kiwis before Yadav decided to grab the spotlight. Ravindra played some delightful shots before he fell to Rishi Dhawan bowling.
NZ 'A' captain Robert O'Donnell also got out for a duck to Dhawan. Raj Angad Bawa then dismissed Tom Bruce to leave the Kiwis at 133 for 5. Carter was the top-scorer for the kiwis with 72.
