KSRTC felicitates bus driver’s son who is set to don IPS hat

Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation(KSRTC) felicitated Anurag Daru, a government driver’s son who is set to wear IPS officer’s hat after clearing the UPSC Civil Service examination.
The son of a government bus driver has become the toast of the town as he is set to don the IPS hat after clearing the UPSC Civil Service examination. Anurag Daru is from Bhalki and was raised in the district headquarters in North Karnataka’s Bidar. After securing the 569th rank in the UPSC civil services examination, Anurag Daru is set to don the IPS hat.
Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation(KSRTC) organised a felicitation ceremony to celebrate Anurag Daru’s success where KSRTC Chairman M Chandrappa and Managing Director V Anbukumar honored him and both his parents, Manik Rao and Kashibai.
Anurag Daru’s father is a driver employed with KSRTC at the Balki depot in the Bidar division, as per a transport department official.
Speaking to the news agency PTI, Anurag Daru informed that he is an engineer by education while adding that he cleared the exam in his fifth attempt.
Further speaking on his educational qualifications, he said that he pursued his engineering in electrical and electronics while adding that he took history as his optional subject.
Before succeeding in the UPSC civil service exam, Anurag Daru had worked for Tata Power for one-and-half years while adding that his training would start after two months.
Anurag Daru went on to say, “My journey had both ups and downs. I have been trying since 2017 and I cleared the UPSC-2021 civil services exam in my fifth attempt.”
