KSRTC bus accident in Chikkamagaluru leaves 30 injured after crashing into house, passengers admitted to nearby hospitals.
A KSRTC bus heading to Sringeri from Bengaluru ran into a house off the road, leaving around 30 people injured, at Jaladurga near Jayapura in Koppa taluk of Chikkamagaluru district on Wednesday.
The driver lost control over the bus while negotiating a curve, and the vehicle ran off the road, hitting a house around 4.30 p.m. A portion of the house, belonging to Puttappa Pujari, was damaged. Shantha, who was sleeping at the time, suffered injuries.
Around 30 passengers suffered minor injuries. They have been admitted to hospitals at Jayapura and Koppa. The incident happened in Jayapura police station limits.
