Kolkata woman smashes girl, 8, to the ground during fight, kills her

A woman in Kolkata smashed an eight-year-old girl to the ground during a fight which led to the girl's death.
A verbal fight between two women married into the same family led to the death of an eight-year-old in Kolkata. One of the women allegedly snatched the girl from her mother's lap and killed her in Kolkata’s upscale New Town area today during the fight.
The police have already arrested a woman named Yasmin Begum based on a complaint filed by a relative of the child. “The child died due to trouble at home,” the relative said.
According to local sources, the two women were fighting over some issue. At the peak of their spat, one of the women snatched the child from her mother's lap and allegedly threw her to the ground.

Neighbors rushed in to help as the child’s mother screamed. The girl did not experience any physical problems at night. But when she did not wake up this morning, she was rushed to a nearby hospital, where the doctors declared her dead on arrival.
The mother of the girl, Sahanawaj Khatun, said, “My aunt and uncle were fighting. We went there. Yashmin and Chandni killed my child. We want justice.”
Apart from arresting the key accused in this case, the police have detained four others.
