Kolkata Police STF nabs arms dealer with 4 guns, 40 bullets

A 54-year-old man, identified as Samir Kumar Pattanayak, was arrested by a Special Task Force of the Kolkata Police for possessing 4 single-shot country-made firearms and 40 rounds of live ammunition.
A Special Task Force of the Kolkata Police intercepted and arrested a West Midnapur-based arms and ammunition dealer, identified as Samir Kumar Pattanayak, near Howrah Bridge on Tuesday. He was arrested for possessing improvised country-made firearms and live ammunition.
According to Kolkata Police sources, Samir Kumar Pattanayak is a 54-year-old male resident of Dantan, West Midnapur.
Upon searching him, officials recovered 4 single-shot improvised country-made firearms and 40 pieces of 8mm live cartridges from his possession. As a result, he was arrested on the spot and is being prosecuted.
