
Kolkata man denied entry in police station for wearing half pants

The man was wearing half pants and had come to the police station to register a complaint with three other people.
A young man in Kolkata had to go back home and wear pants after he was denied entry into the police station.Four youth had come to the Kasba police station in Kolkata to file a complaint against theft two days ago. Two out of these were wearing half pants.As soon as they entered the police station, the constable stopped them outside and said that it was a government office and they would be allowed inside only wearing full pants.After this, one of the young men wearing half pants went home and came back wearing full pants and lodged his complaint.The young man named Abhishek De Vishwas later asked Kolkata Police on social media whether there is any dress code to enter the police station.Immediately, the Assistant Commissioner of Police was asked to look into the matter. The police officers after investigation have also been asked to submit the report to the Deputy Commissioner(DC) office after which appropriate action will be taken.
