A junior doctor at the Calcutta Medical College hospital has tested positive for the Omicron variant of coronavirus, authorities said. With this, the total Omicron cases in West Bengal have increased to four.

According to authorities, the 21-year-old junior doctor complained of fever following which his sample was sent for Covid-19 test and genome sequencing. His report came positive on Friday night.
