Koffee With Karan 7: Aamir Khan, Boring? Never. His LOL Take On Bollywood Parties
NDTV
"And they say I am the boring one," said Aamir Khan
Aamir Khan won the hamper and our hearts in the new episode of Karan Johar's talk show Koffee With Karan 7. Aamir Khan, rarely seen at Bollywood parties, attended Karan Johar's 50th birthday bash this year and his description of what happens in a quintessential Bollywood party was simply hilarious. It all started when Karan Johar called Aamir Khan a "party pooper" and said, "When there is a party of 200 people, Aamir wants to run the other way." Aamir Khan, in his defence, talked about KJo's birthday bash in particular and said, "There was loud music and nobody was dancing. Hundreds of people were screaming aloud while talking to each other, so much that I could see their veins were popped out. So why not just reduce the volume and speak comfortably without screaming? And they say I am the boring one." Kareena Kapoor, explaining, what to do at a party, added, "You just do your shots and dance to your own Hindi songs." She added that the parties usually start after 2am.
Aamir Khan managed to troll KJo and how. Karan Johar also recalled that he was recently accused of being partial towards Janhvi Kapoor during an episode of this season. He then asked Aamir Khan if he thought he could be partial towards anyone. Aamir's ROFL reply was this: "All the time. You are quite partial." Karan Johar also explained that he was feeling bad after Janhvi Kapoor lost both the rounds on the episode, featuring Sara Ali Khan. To this, Aamir replied, "So you were being nice to someone? Kya baat kar raha hai yaar (What are you even saying). Maa kasam, aap jab bhi show karte ho, kisi na kisi ka insult hota hi hota hai, koi na koi rota hi rota hai. Kisi na kisi ka dil dukhta hi dukhta hai (I swear on my mother, whenever you do a show, someone or the other gets insulted, cries or their heart breaks)."
To say it like Kareena Kapoor did on the show last night, "And you thought Aamir Khan would be boring?" With that, we rest our case.
