A 45-year-old man, resident of Kozhencherry in Pathanamthitta has been arrested for allegedly duping job aspirants by promising them permanent placements after pretending to be a relative of Health Minister Veena George.
A 45-year-old man, resident of Kozhencherry in Pathanamthitta has been arrested for allegedly duping job aspirants by promising them permanent placements.
Pretending to be a relative of Health Minister Veena George, the accused had collected documents of temporary workers at a primary health centre, promising them permanent placements. Believing his position, the workers fell prey to the scam.
According to a report published in the Times of India (TOI), the matter came to light when the workers petitioned the Health Minister about the matter, who then forwarded it to the Maradu police.
According to a report published in The Hindu, the accused identified as Sanoj Abraham was arrested by the Maradu police on Tuesday.
It is alleged that the accused had befriended the workers during his frequent visits to the primary health centre while staying on rent in Thykoodam.
