KL Rahul’s elevation to vice-captaincy shows he’s been marked as future leader by the selectors: Sunil Gavaskar

Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar on Tuesday said that the elevation of KL Rahul as Team India’s vice-captain shows that he has been marked as the future leader by the selectors. Rohit Sharma will lead India against New Zealand in the T20Is.

Rohit Sharma was on Tuesday officially appointed as India's new T20 captain, replacing Virat Kohli, for the three-match series against New Zealand starting November 17 in Jaipur.

Rohit's appointment was a formality and KL Rahul will be his new deputy in the shortest format.
